Great Turnouts for Eric Prydz 1st American Tour We Saw Him Throw Down @ Destiny Orlando

Sunday, November 18th, 2007

Most DJs in America know about how great a DJ and Producer Eric Prydz is and we all were wondering since his release of “Call on Me” in 2004 why he had never made it out to play over here. It turns out that Eric has a fear of flying. He has finally made it out to America for his 2007 tour and people are showing up in large numbers to check out what they have been missing. Eric Prydz threw down a terrific set @ Destiny Orlando. He played some driving Progressive House that electrified the crowd and everyone on the dancefloor.
A few other interesting facts about Eric Prydz is that he is originally from Stockholm, Sweden and he is a member of the popular Swedish House Mafia who also includes Axwell, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Henrik B. Eric now resides in London, England. He began producing music at the age of 9. Eric Prydz has a number of aliases: Cirez D, Moo, Pryda, and Sheridan.
Eric owns 3 labels: Pryda Recordings, Pryda Friends, and Mouseville Records. Another trademark that Eric has is that he always wears a hat. He was wearing a Yankees hat @ Destiny Orlando. All of Eric’s productions are solid and all of us look forward to hearing his upcoming tracks.
Earlier this month Sam from Bermuda Beats asked Eric what was in his studio.
Eric replied:
I would say nowadays, 80% of my tracks I make on my laptop with a pair of headphones. That’s it. Or maybe 70% because I’m traveling so much, and I rarely have any time to spend in the studio. The laptop I’m using is an old crappy PC from 2004. I mean it was kind of state of the art back then; it’s kind of a custom made laptop from Frost Network, which is made for making music on it basically. It’s running a really old version of Logic. I think it’s 5.2 or something like that. But I sort of like being limited, because then you… I don’t know. Instead of trying to figure out how all the synthesizers work, you can work with a few instruments and try to make as much as possible out of that. As for my studio, I’m running a Macintosh with Logic 7, and like wavs, plugins, and I do have the Korg bundle as well. And then, I have one synthesizer I think which is a Korg MS-2000. I think it’s MS-2000B. It’s the new version. It’s the one with the vocoder thing. Apart from that I don’t have anything. Its like microphone preamps, microphones, stuff like that. But as I said before, I really like to keep the setup as small and compact as possible. It’s not really what kind of fancy equipment you have, it’s how you use the stuff that you actually have, you know. And I’m doing fine with the small setup I have, and I don’t have any plans of getting a big show off studio. I don’t need that.”

Nino Anthony ft. Melleefresh-Dancin Girl-Play Digital- Now Out On Beatport!

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

After my conversation with Melleefresh, I realized how much of a story line goes into her songs. Her vocals set the tone for a sort of electro opera. Dancin Girl picks up where her infamous track Afterhours left off. Dancin Girl is about a girl in a club trying to get a guy to come dance with her. “She spots him from across the room, the whole dancefloor sexual attraction”. Dancin Girl leads into her upcoming track Yer Kisses with Tyler Michaud. I marvel over her songs. Its like a page turner in a good book, Melleefresh keeps the drive going for everyone to hear more and more from track to track. She is always backed by some of the most amazing producers.
Nino Anthony has done it again with another brilliant release “Dancin Girl” Nino’s Original Mix is Big room clubby electro house. Its very radio and dancefloor friendly along with fun vocals laced on top of a funky electro house beat. It has definite will appeal to the masses.
The Sexxy Mix is Dirty groovin sexy house music at it’s best. Hypnotic bassline, sexy vocals and a soild groove make this an underground hit for sure.
disKo LoKo mix is Deep acid/Tech house. A thumping, throbbing acid bassline sets the vibe of this track and some dirty electro basslines thrown on top along with Mellefresh’s seductive moans, make this a gem for the deep fan of tech house/progressive and acid house.
The Dominatorz mix is a hard edged dirty twisted Electro House monster from London’s hottest production team whose ‘Do You Love Me’ single is climbing high in the Cool Cuts and Buzz Charts in the UK.
Paul Bingham remix-Intelligent drums and that heavy techy bass make up the essence of Paul Bingham’s remix of Dancing Girl. You can feel that edge of the original with it’s squeeks and sounds building and dropping in that high energy vocal with drums and dirty synth stabs filling the track with bliss. Further on Paul uses his trademark “Buzz” stab that just makes any dancefloor go absolutely mental.
“Kid Dubs mix is an errieeeeee processed vocal that sends electro vibrations through my entire body!!!!!and makes me twitch and dance I love it!!!!”
“Kaysh from Australia the only female dj remixer gives us a very techy electro twist with some choice moans”.
“Ale Avilla gives us a solid electro house mix that also makes you wanna dance. Its sung by the hot sexxxy dancin diva Melleefresh”.
